DCC Renovations

Experience the enhanced Dayton Convention Center, currently undergoing a transformative $45 million renovation project initiated in Q4 of 2022, with an anticipated completion in Q1 of 2025. This comprehensive upgrade encompasses numerous improvements including structural, mechanical, and cosmetic updates to almost every square inch of the center. As we’ve officially surpassed the halfway mark, check out what we’ve accomplished within the last year!

New Terrace

We are making headway on our outdoor terrace that will provide additional space for outdoor gatherings and events, enhancing the versatility of the convention center. The terrace is still under construction and slated to be completed by Q1 of 2025.

Escalators

Our escalator renovation was completed in early April of 2024 by Kone. Our new escalators feature enhanced safety features and promote easy accessibility throughout all levels of the building.

Service Corridor

Creation of a new service corridor in Exhibit Hall A will lead to improved logistics and service capabilities, facilitating smoother operations for food and beverage, event organizers, and exhibitors.

Renovated Restrooms

Completely new facilities including custom tilework, updated plumbing, ADA-compliant stalls, and fresh paint.

Gem City Ballroom-10,000 sq. ft.

Construction in Gem City Ballroom started in mid-September 2023 and was completed in July 2024. Gem City Ballroom features an updated pre-function area, custom hexagonal LED lighting, private restrooms, fresh carpet and paint, and custom sound panels. It is a state-of-the-art ballroom equipped for banquets, weddings, and corporate outings

Main Lobby

Updated paint, accent walls, and lighting throughout all levels creates a brighter and more inviting environment for events and gatherings.

REFRESHED MEETING ROOMS

All meeting rooms have been updated and feature new paint, carpet, lighting and doors. The operable partitions in applicable spaces have also been updated with new covers. These updates create a professional and welcome atmosphere for an array of events.

Revitalized Skywalk

Featuring new carpet and paint for improved aesthetics and comfort.

VIP Lounge

An elevated suite space ideal for networking events, cocktail parties, and small meetings.

The VIP Suite features wall-to-wall windows overlooking the exhibit hall floor, private bar, updated interiors, and a glass operable partition that allows the room to function as its own space or open into the Level 3 pre-function area.

Flex Hall – 18,000 sq. ft.

Construction in the new Flex Hall started in February 2024 and is projected to be completed in November 2024.

Upon completion, this room will serve as a multi-purpose space, functioning as both a 18,000 square foot ballroom for banquets, corporate meetings, and weddings, as well as a continuation of our total 68,000 sq. ft. exhibit hall space.

The new space will feature state-of-the-art lighting, sound-absorbing custom sound panels, new in-house sound capabilities, as well as fresh carpet and paint.

Theater- 675 Seats

Our 675-seat Theater is equipped with full production capabilities, and features new carpet, paint, lighting and acoustical panels.
