ABOUT THIS EVENT
13 the Musical
MUSIC AND LYRICS BY: Jason Robert Brown
BOOK BY: Dan Elish and Robert Horn>
Dare to Defy Productions is proud to present a Dare to Inspire production of the musical 13. A hilarious, coming-of-age musical about discovering that "cool" is sometimes where we least expect it. Geek. Poser. Jock. Beauty Queen. Wannabe. These are the labels that can last a lifetime. With an unforgettable rock score from Tony Award-winning composer, Jason Robert Brown, (Parade, The Last Five Years, Bridges of Madison County) 13 is a musical about fitting in – and standing out!
Evan Goldman is plucked from his fast-paced, preteen New York City life and plopped into a sleepy Indiana town following his parents divorce. Surrounded by an array of simpleminded middle school students, he needs to establish his place in the popularity pecking order. Can he situate himself on a comfortable link of the food chain... or will he dangle at the end with the outcasts?!? The 35 member cast is comprised entirely of local young artists aged 10-14, but the stories that come to life here are ageless, the emotions they explore timeless, the laughter and the memories they provide priceless.
Tickets prices ranging from $10 to $35 can be purchased on-line at www.showtix4u.com/boxoffice.php?submit=Search+for+Events&begin=1542968¤t_client=0200006912311731

Come see what all the buzz is about! Jesus Christ Superstar, written by Andrew Lloyd Webber, is the second production in our inaugural Dare 2 Inspire: Theatre for Young Artists season! This particular show is cast entirely with students between the ages of 14- 20, and they (and we) are excited to share with you what they've been doing all summer! Considering our increasingly volatile political climate; the pervasive and influential nature of media on politics and cultural perceptions; as well as the rampant religious intolerance observed throughout the world, we are excited to present a multimedia contemporary take on the controversial and heavily political Andrew Lloyd Webber 70's rock opera about the final days of the life of Jesus. In our production, The message of Jesus, a viral internet sensation, speaks to the yearning masses, inspiring formidable movements and political action, which poses perceived threats to and causes great concern for governments and churches across the globe. There will be three opportunities to catch the show: FRIDAY, JULY 27 @ 7pm SATURDAY, JULY 28 @ 7pm SUNDAY, JULY 29 @ 2pm Tickets are available for all types of budgets! Rows A-C - $35.00 Rows D-G - $30.00 Rows H-N - $25.00 Rows O-S - $20.00 Rows T-L - $15.00 Row U - $10.00 If you have any questions, please, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org!
