The Montgomery County Science Day and Engineering Fair have, on average, 325 - 400 bright, young and eager participants from 23+ local schools. More than 120 professionals in various disciplines from the Dayton and surrounding areas are on hand at the University of Dayton to judge projects in 13 scientific areas, ranging from Behavioral Science to Zoology. Our participating schools contribute from one to as many as 51 competitors each. Students presenting projects are from 7th through 12th grades. All students receive recognition at the awards ceremony concluding our Science Day. Special judges award the outstanding experiments with additional prizes including certificates, money, scholarships, and savings bonds. Projects which are judged "Superior" in the regular judging can then go on to compete at the West District Science Day at Central State University on March 17th.

Join us for the GMCE Spring Fling DII Open Cheer & Dance Nationals! This event is open to all School/Rec Cheer adn Dance Teams and all DII All Star Cheer & Dance teams. ALL 1st place teams will win RINGS! GK will be giving out a uniform package for $12,000 to a lucky program! We will have up to 10 full-paid bids to THE ONE Finals!
YWCA Dayton will honor seven women during its 2018 Women of Influence awards luncheon. This year marks the 21st anniversary of the award; with an average attendance of 800, it is the single largest daytime nonprofit luncheon in Dayton. Since 1998, the YWCA Dayton WOI Awards have recognized and honored women who have made a difference in our community through their dedication to the YWCA mission of empowering women, eliminating racism, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. 2018 Honorees include: Janice Allen, Treasurer/Chief Financial Officer, Trotwood-Madison City School District; Mary Bullen, Community Philanthropist & Founder, Home Is The (HIT) Foundation; Kim Faris, Radio Host, I Heart Media (Dayton’s Hot Country B94.5/Mix 107.7); Jacque Fisher, Chief, Aircraft Survivability Division, Mobility Directorate (WPAFB); Sharon Rab, Founder & Chair, Dayton Literary Peace Prize; Daria Dillard Stone, Parent Advocate & Educational Consultant.
Additionally, Pamela Morris, founder and CEO of CareSource, will be honored with the 2018 Women of Influence Lifetime Achievement Award. Morris was first named a Women of Influence Honoree in 2011.
